I love SI. Also love Ed Hunt's Bloody Birthday too!

Starship Invasions is campy fun! I used to see this on TV all the time in the 80's. I just watched my old Warner Bros. VHS the other night. I wonder how seeing this in the 70's must've been like. If you look real hard you can see Helen Shaver look right at the camera a few times. The redhead Christopher Lee beams down is pretty hot. Robert Vaughn is so serious! I'd like to take some of those space vitamins too to keep up my strength.

This was directed by Ed Hunt who also directed Bloody Birthday about killer children and the creepy UFO's Are Real documentary. I'm not sure if I saw any more of his work.

I haven't seen Starship Invasions in decades (or as an adult) so it might be very bad, but.... I do remember this film fondly, mostly because back in the day (the 70s) "cable" TV used to offer only ONE movie channel. And they only played a few movies every night, and sent out printed schedule. I don't remember why, but my neighbourhood friends and I ended up watching this movie perhaps 6 times in that one month that it was on, and then we promptly started "playing" Starship Invasions in our backyards and playgrounds. It was the summer of Star Wars afterall and everything sci-fi was suddenly cool. (We also followed "Message From Space", "Blackhole", "Battlestar Galactica" on TV, and "Battle Beyond the Stars" also with Robert Vaughn).
