a bunch of Greeks sitting around arguing about Homer's version of Odysseus. "It's old, it's aged", "It sucks", "so-and-so's version was better", "yeah, Homer just ripped it off from Sumerians", "The Illiad was wayyyy better".

Lol, this is just an adventure fantasy story. It was made with good special effects for the time. A lot of people enjoyed watching it. It has a few, somewhat simplistic ideas about good and evil.

What the hell did you expect?

(And yeah, I know that Homer was not the originator of the Illiad/Odyssey. Just using it as an example).

I could picture geeks arguing about The Odyssey and the Iliad too. LOL :)
