should lightsabers cauterize the wound when they amputate

or not ?

reply

Yeah I don’t think they invented that rule until Empire Strikes Back

reply

i thought they were supposed to fix the blood in anh, but i don't think they did for any of the special editons. after that i was just confused.

reply

Naw I don’t think there is a single edition out there that edits out the blood, the last edition I saw was the 2011 blu ray edition so anything past that you’re guess is as good as mine

reply

Why not? We already have cauterizing scalpels!

I tell you, if I lived in the Republic era, I'd be in the prosthetic limb industry. As long as people fought with lightsabers, there would be a big market.

reply

haha. you'd be rolling in republic credits

reply

Until Order 66 came in, and everyone stopped using light sabers, and the bottom would drop out of the market!

Oh well, maybe the imperial torturers would throw some business my way...

reply

In the comic book adaptations they did just that.

reply

i don't know why they'd want to keep it inconsistent in the films.

reply

Depends on the type of alien that's cut.

reply

that's interesting. is this an idea of yours or something you read or heard?
