yeah, I'll say it:

I hate star wars. I hate everything star wars. I mean I actively hate it. If I'm sitting around bored, with nothing to do, I'll think about how much I hate this franchise.
I get its a big deal...and I respect that but I don't know...anybody else feel the same?

No, you hate that you see so many people enjoying it and don't understand why you yourself don't like it. People who can't get into The Beatles are the same way.

reply

I cant get into "The Godfather" just dont seem to like it , cant see what people see in it .
I dont bother hating it though , and dont mind that other people seem to like it ...

reply

What are your feelings towards the Harry Potter movies?

reply

I read the books; never watched the movies. So, no opinion on the movies

reply

Cant you think of anything better to hate?
Donald Trump?
Simon Cowell and all his shitty singing competitions?
Big Brother?
Love Island?
Real Housewives of xxxxx
property shows on TV
Superhero movies
Transformers movies
windows 8
Quiche

reply

Yeah, superhero movies. I used to really enjoy seeing comic book characters come to life....but now it's just too much too often, for me anyways. I wonder when the comic book movie bubble is going to burst. Soon I hope.

reply

I notice more people are burned out from superhero movies. I rarely watch them in the theater anymore and rarely see them on DVD when my library has them. TV is much better than movies now, anyway.

Di$ney is going to continue flooding theaters with them unless people stop going.

reply

Frankly I disagree. I like Super Hero Movies. I like the Star Wars movies. Well, The original trilogy and Rogue One anyway. I really don't care for the prequels or sequels that much. Solo was also good. Frankly I wish George Lucas had been able to make Episodes 7,8, and 9 back in the 80s like he had planned so we could still have all my favorite characters as main characters. But oh well.

Nothing wrong with quiche.

Quiche - Sounds like a snake puking up backwards.

While I can't say that I HATE it, I have no interest in it. Yet it's constantly shoved in my face. It's ingrained in nearly every facet of pop culture which can be annoying. there is no escape from it. There also seems to be a presumption among many SW fans that EVERYBODY loves it. I can see why that could cause some people to hate it rather than just ignoring a film they dislike

reply

For sure. Thanks for the thoughtful reply.

Some people seem to get very worked up when a random person post something mildly nasty about Star Wars on an internet message board. LOL

reply

only about the prequels and the last jedi.

reply

Yeah the prequels were kinda cheesy to me, with bad acting and dialogue/writing. They were like one step above an Asylum movie.

reply

Well I mean... the original trilogy is extremely cheesy too, with bad acting and dialog/writing. So they fit right in.

reply

I agree, but I upset everybody so much with my original post, so I figured I'd let them have the original trilogy. Lol
