George Lucas re-editing the film once again for Blu-Ray

The list goes on...

The sound effect sounds fine in the theatrical format. I honestly don't mind the 2004 sound either, I think i kind of prefer it. but man, that 2011 one! It's awful!

Like can this guy not keep himself away from all the edits to save his life?

Lucas is the same guy who decried alterations to older movies. He gave a speech about it, encouraging the protection of the original versions as cultural heritage.

I don't really understand why the guy doesn't include both versions in a release, and the original version should be remastered as well, not some ported over unanamorphic version from laserdisc.

Sure most people would watch the original versions the most. But they would be a lot of people interested in seeing the new versions as well.

I like to switch between the 2 versions of Apocalypse Now on Blu-Ray, it's always cool to compare.

I think he considers his tinkering to be correcting and finishing his movies
