Having said all of that, my favorite is A View To A Kill. But being my favorite doesn't make it one of the best films, there's a lot of nostalgia involved in that.

As AdmiralTugBenson noted, best does not mean favorite; if it were faves, From Russia with Love would top my list.

Also not sure why this is pre-Skyfall--that makes my top 10 for both best and faves.

The most memorable Bond films of them all in general...

1.Casino Royale (2006) - 8.5-9/10
2.Skyfall (2012) - 8-8.5/10
3.Licence to Kill (1989) - 8/10
4.Goldfinger (1964) - 7.5-8/10
5.Dr No (1962)
6.From Russia with Love (1963) - 7-7.5/10
7.Quantum of Solace (2008) - 7/10

those are the only Bond movies i gave a 7/10 or higher to.

if you remove Skyfall and i had to put in another one to list seven movies i would go with... The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) - 6-6.5/10.

p.s. i kind of assume Spectre (2015) will be on that list given Sam Mendes is directing it and he did Skyfall.
