I recently watched La Soufriere on VHS; the audio was horrible, as one could barely make out Herzog's narration. Can anyone tell me whether this problem is fixed on the DVD version?

I have the Blu-ray version and it's fine. Not state of the art sound recording by any means, but perfectly legible.
