Had no clue this was remembered enough to have a remake. I'd much rather see this one again, it's been years since I saw it. And I forgot it had Steve Guttenberg.

Now that Mary Tyler Moore's company is out of business, is 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Television Studios, or Foxstar Productions going to do the remake of Something for Joey?
21st Century Fox, Inc. (then NewsCorp) bought out MTM in 1998 and shut it down (MTM was absorbed into 20th Century Fox TV), so I would think one of the Fox Television divisions would now own the rights to the title.
Also, who is slated to star in the remake if it is indeed in production? And who's directing it?
Just curious.
I can't find anything new under the same name. Was it remade? And if so, did they rename.
