The Logan's --- Alva --- Ellen O and Ellen B

This movie contained all of my heroes ( and crushes) of the late 70s --- My skate heroes Bruce Logan - Tony Alva - Tom Sims and my female skate heroes who Zi had huge crushes on when I first saw the movie in the theater in 1978 at age 16 , the beauties Robin Logan, Ellen Oneal, Ellen Berryman and Laura Thornhill --- I loved those 4 babes who were about my age --- ah seeing this DVD release 36 years since I saw it in theaters the feeling was great --- in regards to skateboard life and the culture the writers of this film sucked and we all know that --- but the action shots of my heroes were great --- very proud to be personal friends of a few of these great skaters and seeing them smile while watching it is truly worth the world to me --- thanks

Just too bad Leif Garrett was in it --- never liked the guy --- I bet the skaters thought he was a Pu$$y --- geeez --- Alva was a better actor than him anyways --- Should have put Jay Adams in his part --- lol --- Though Manny and his recruiting of these skaters in hindsight reminds me of how Ho and Engblom got the ZBoys together in the 1st place --- think about it that's why all the great ZBoys left the 1 year after the Del Mar Nationals --- Adams - Alva - Biniak - all going to Logan Earth Ski, Peralta to Powell etc., because like Manny in the movie Skip Engblom wasn't paying these kids what they were worth instead giving them oyster soup and pepsis --- while Logan Sims and Hobie were paying them salary --- Dogtown and the Z Boys is misleading in that respect --- making it sound like Logan Earth Ski and Sims cherry picked the skaters ? BS --- they treated these kids like family --- Alva Adams and Biniak lived with the Logan's and Zmrs Logan treated them like her own kids --- feeding them --- Engbloms story in the documentary makes it look like they were the exploiters when in truth Engblom and Ho were the true exploiters !!!
