Same music as in Dunwich Horror!!!

Can someone explain why the melody heard in the soundtrack is the same as in Daniel Haller's Dunwich horror (1970)??

Well, in short, 90% of Hong Kong martial arts films in the 70s and early 80s just took whatever music sounded good, and threw them in there. The Dunwich Horror music is only in the original Chinese prints (as present on the Hong Kong Legends DVD). Meanwhile, the English dubbed version ends up stealing, er, "borrowing" a ton of music cues from the '78 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I'm thinking about possibly making a website that more or less catalogs all unoriginal music in Hong Kong martial arts films, such as these examples, the use of NEU! in Master of the Flying Guillotine, the use of Bill Conti's score for Rocky in Soul Brothers of Kung Fu, and so on... it'd be a big catalog!

That would be awesome. The page for Ennio Morricone would be miles long. :)

Strange enough, the music works better as a soundtrack for "Game of Death II" than it ever did for "The Dunwich Horror"!
