And the great shot of the ocean and the weird building. With the music, sound effects, whatever, its just awesome creepy. Really makes me think of the unknown.

There have been so many posts about the music in this movie...and it is for a reason. It was paired perfectly.
The movie has everything to do with water...there is danger in the water. And somehow, the music has an "acquatic" sound to it. it's hard to explain. this movie would not be what it is without the music.

I agree, since the purpose of a music score(especially in a horror film) is to create mood and enhance atmosphere, which this accomplishes with chilling effect; the same way Halloween is, since without that music, it has little impact at all(even John Carpenter said so!)
Weird film, but memorable and haunting.
The music in this film is very atmospheric.
