Score a film right and you subtly add to the whole atmosphere...score a film wrong and you end up with lush overly melodramatic crap usually heard on a made for TV movie or a dumb programme like Charlie's Angles or Dallas...and unfortunately that's what you have in this film.
shareI'll agree with you on this. I thought the music dragged everything else down. I enjoyed the film, and could have liked it a lot, but as it stands the music brought many scenes down to the level of midday soap opera. It's a shame because there's some gold in this one.
shareI agree. The music is incredibly dated, and it's hard to think there was a time when that kind of score would have worked. When I watched it again the other night, I thought to myself how wonderful it would have been to ditch the musical melodrama and take a more minimalist, creepy approach.
