Fourth Wall Broken??

Watched this movie for the first time in years. Just picked up on a moment about 9 minutes into the film as the doctors are making their way from the lake where the seaplane left them to the river. At one point they have to cross a bog or marsh and end have to wade across a spot one by one where they sink up to their shoulders in a deep spot.

First one across is of course DJ and I am of the opinion that whomever was on camera crew makes a wisecrack about "Well, you're very intrepid" and DJ "Thank you. Now p*** off". The person then responds "Can you do that again? I didn't get a shot of it". Abel's camera is put away and he had yet to cross the swamp so it couldn't have been him.

Mitzi is the next one across but he's too far away at that moment to have been the one to issue the original remark that DJ responds to. There's nobody else across at that point for DJ to interact with.

He doesn't look into the camera specifically to respond but it just seems to me that for a moment their the film reveals itself.

The commentary on the Code Red dvd does mention that scene. It was stated that the cast didn't realise how deep the water was and some of them almost went under. This blunder was kept in the movie. I haven't watched the dvd with commentary for a couple of years now so I don't recall anything being said about the dialog you mention. The commentary is by Lawrence Dane who plays Mitzi moderated by Lee Christian.
