Be thankful that there's a better possibility of a special edition compared to "The Black Cauldron", my favourite. I sooo want the director's cut of that.

What controversy? What's in this that is any more politically incorrect than the other classics?

^I believe Taran is talking about the infamous nude frame, where a shot of breasts is visible in a single frame of the original VHS release. I think you can't even see it if you're simply watching it but it has to be slowed down precisely. To me, it's a silly controversy and shouldn't keep such a good film out of the light- who cares when you can't even see the thing and it's taken out on the DVD anyway?

The Black Cauldron, I have heard, only has the controversy of being considered too dark. The trivia says something along the lines of "kept away from video release for years due to its dark content". The sad thing is, it's really not that dark. Maybe a couple of images that would have scared me as a kid, but not that much. I say people are overreacting.
