Looks like nobody remembers this!

I remember watching this and being slightly scared. I live very close to a nuclear plant and everytime I see those huge stacks pumping out steam I remember this movie.

I own a used VHS copy of this fine and gripping thriller. Someone really needs to give this unjustly overlooked sleeper an official Region 1 DVD release already.

"We're all part Shatner/And part James Dean/Part Warren Oates/And Steven McQueen"

I remember it. I own the VHS copy of this excellent made for television movie. Heck I even saw it when it first aired in 1977. It's aged well.

I picked it up on VHS too... Saw it in 77 too. Haven't rewatched it yet.. This is one of those reels that's deteriorating somewhere in the subterranean tunnels of Kansas City.

I do believe you are onto something. A dedicated film historian needs to dig it up.

I remember this.

"BROLEN, YOU'VE GOT TO STOP THAT CRANE!!!"

and the Sheriff:

" I don't think we are the only ones who know about this. For the past hour-and-a-half, all the roads leading to the airport have been jammed up"

I also remember the discussion Brolen was having with his partner in Ives' house about the potential bomb.

Brolen: If there is a bomb in the complex, how would he trigger it?
Partner: Timer..Pressure..even Human.
Brolen: Human?
Partner: Yeah, you know. You pull a pin and you run.
Brolen: In a nuclear reactor? That's suicide.
Partner: Well, we've already had one suicide in this household. Only this guy wants to take a nuclear reactor and several million people with him.

I wish I could see it again
