How much can you cut up this film?

Excited to see this movie on TV but already disappointed at how much they've cut, only 10/15 minutes in. I guess I've seen it so many times I'm going to notice every little thing, but they cut the entire scene of Charlie Brown's initial meeting with the bullies.

Earlier in Bon Voyage Charlie Brown they cut the entire school scene between Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty.

Do you really need to cut that much time from a 75 minute movie? These are on TV so rarely it would be nice to see them given better treatment.
