There are a few gory scenes in this movie that are impressive for the time. Particularly Marilyn Chambers skin graft operation is pretty nasty.

In terms of gore it's rather conservative but it's such a strange and weird movie and it's got such a mood to it that it does creep you out.

WOE BE UNTO HIM WHO OPENS ONE OF THE SEVEN GATEWAYS TO HELL...

This movie didn't strike me as very gory. There's a few disturbing scenes(like many Cronenberg films), but not so gory. And Marilyn Chambers is hot. (and a fairly OK actress.)
