RE: "I didn't know this movie was in Montreal, Quebec, Canada"

Just for the record, every movie Cronenberg's ever done has been made in Canada, whether it's supposed to "take place" there or not. (ie. "A History of Violence", "Dead Zone", etc. depicted small-town US but were actually shot in Canada).

He likes to work at home. The only time he was going to shoot elsewhere was for "Naked Lunch". They were going to shoot in Morocco, but Gulf War 1 was happening, so they trucked in thousands of tons of sand and shot it in a warehouse in Toronto!

I'm watching it right now.

Orson Welles never made an all-yellow movie.

You are lucky in Canada. Rabid has only been shown once in the UK and that was well over a decade ago.

Its that man again!!

reply

Assuming that you have Freesat, Rabid is on TV in the UK on the Horror Channel on 19th Jan 2013.

reply

We watched in on the Horror Channel. Pretty grim stuff. I either really love Cronenberg or it freaks the hell out of me. This one freaked the hell out of me! Lol.

"Hey! Ladies! That was fun!"

reply

It's showing tonight (7th October 2015) at 10:55pm on the Horror channel.
Somehow the old horror movies work better for me than the newer stuff so I'm catching this one again.

Rabid is now on heavy rotation on the Showtime Networks family of premium cable channels and you can also see it on SHO On Demand.
