No ones talked about this movie?

I thought at least someone would have started a topic here?

And here it is over 3 years later and this discussion board is still pretty bare. LOL. I thought this was worth the watch. I laughed a few times. When I found it I thought, why haven't I heard of this? Then I watched it and was like, oh!

:)

what is funny is that tonight I was going through a bunch of old vhs tapes to convert over to dvd, Loose shoes was among those considered. I found it in the no longer for rent section of a mom and pop video store basement. Before I do a conversion I usually check this site/boards to see if an actual disc or what have you was released.

A reviewer on amazon mentioned that the dvd vers (84 mins) were cut by like 20 mins and that the vhs tapes are unedited. However the original vhs by Key video (early 80's) also list an 84 min run time (so if the dvds actually run shorter than that I would have no idea)

I always could appreciate the now very dated comedy skit films like this. Will check out the movie either tonight or tomorrow

99% of you people send me PM's with questions and never bother to check that I replied to them.

I think the reviewer was going by what the DVD claimed, it had something on it in the UK release that said it was supposed to be cleaned up and had an audio commentary and such... but it was not the case. The cover lied.

Well at least we're filling up the board a little now. I had to bring the dvd back to the library so I can't tell ya how long it was but 84 minutes sounds about right.

I didn't mean to reply to my own post :) But oh well.

Friends,

Okay, I'm here. And I'm ashamed of myself for not posting earlier. Don't quote me, but I'm fairly certain that when we got cable in South Saint Louis County back in like November of '83, this was the first movie I watched. I loved it so much the next night I invited my friend Eric over, and we recorded it (AH!!!! VHS!!!!). When his parents came home with my mom from bingo that night, Eric insisted that we play the, "Darktown after Dark" segment for his dad. The man was rolling with laughter. He insisted on borrowing the tape so he could see the whole thing. We often found ourselves quoting this movie. On Amazon it has MANY negative comments. I don't see why I consider some of these to be classic bits. How can you not split your sides over, "INVASION OF THE PENIS SNATCHERS"? So... I've got two other posts to make about this movie. I'll start new threads for them. Peruse them at your leisure, and please use the waste containers located at the exits when you are through. And please contribute to S.T.O.P.I.T., The Society to opress and prevent involuntary tinkling. You piss-freaks.

Respectfully,

GodCharles
