my theory that every (and, i do mean "every") film has some redeeming quality - even if you have to whip out the high-powered microscope to find it - is constantly being put to the test (sigh). this sequel is a case in point...
i agree with you gentlemen (i'm assuming you're gentleman) that gillespie is "the only reason to watch this movie."

i even found a site with nice screen caps of her from the movie:

i will say, too, that sarah douglas makes for an additional, not necessarily microscopic, reason to watch this movie (l.o.l.)

Just the facts (44-26-37) from imdb...

5' 8" (1.73 m)

Trivia

Also a singer

Measurements: 44-26-37 (Source: Celebrity Sleuth magazine)

Her mother is a cousin of Lord Buxton, her father is Baron de Winterstein Gillespie, a retired Austrian radiologist

She gave herself the name Dana because she didn't want Richenda cheapened in show-business

As a schoolgirl she had a young David Bowie carrying home her books and teaching her guitar chords.

Personal Quotes

He (David Bowie) was the first boy I knew to have dyed hair and who wasn't upper class. We later recorded together.

I went to the same school that Joan Collins had attended, and we girls were expected to marry into wealth or go to university. Instead, I became Britain's junior water-skiing champion for four years - until I injured a knee.

I met her when she was in NY in the 70's promoting her album on Mainman - I think her album was the first one on Mainman, actually. She was very beautiful and had a great body - and I mean a great body - but I SERIOUSLY doubt if it was 44-26-37, though it was marvelously curvy. She was a good singer, by the way, and had eyes that would stop you in your tracks. Too bad she (1) didn't do any more films and (2) never did any nudity in the ones she did. That would have made the movie a classic.....

Oh her character was classic.

A scantily clad pre-historic cave girl with great legs, amazing cleavage, and little to no knowledge of the english language. MY DREAM WOMAN!!!

There are lots of gorgeous women with beautiful faces that are fun to look at but don't necessarily arouse men.

Then there are those attractive or pretty women with the hot bodies that arouse lust and fantasy at first sight.

Dana (Richenda) Gillespie was one of those women at the time of the movie, "The People that Time Forgot" back in 1977. Granted, Gillespie is 31 years older today and doesn't have the sex appeal, but that's not her fault. When a woman has a pretty enough face and a true hourglass figure with wide hips and full, full breasts, it arouses the primal mating copulating desire instinct in us men. We can't help it. We're hard-wired instinctively for choosing a nubile, fertile human female. As a man, you take one look at Dana Gillespie in her open-cleavage skimpy cavegirl costume in the movie and an primal instinct starts encouraging a desire to mix DNA with her.

I've come across or seen dozens of gorgeous-faced women, but I don't feel any great mating instinct coming to life. But there are some women in this world that are just blessed by that ability to activate our hormones. There were zillions of other fashion models with prettier faces than Gillespie, but she had the definite female vibe. And Dana G. had those bedroom eyes to boot.

The mystery of why Dana Gillespie didn't go further into nude scenes or mens' magazines has been solved. It seems there is some old aristocrat lineage in her bloodline that made Gillespie uncomfortable and reticent (not snooty) to show more skin that would have been embarassing to her and her family lineage.

Does anyone out there remember any other female celebrities, past or present, that aroused primal, mating-lust-at-first-sight?

Caught Dana in this film today on MGMHD for the first time, had never seen it before. What a knockout Dana was, great face and figure. Not a bad little sci-fi film. Googled Dana to see her current status and she has a rock/blues band. There's a video of her performing on youtube. It's pretty good.

Back then hot chicks had to work a little harder for it since Nudity was acceptable but then the Rating would need to be bumped up and you kill the younger crowds. So they literally squeezed these girls into rags and just barely covered THE naughty parts. It drove us young men crazy, it was almost painful.
But they did use cute girls with perfect bodies. And I love them for it.

I am an old man and I have seen it all, but movies from the late 60's to maybe early 8o's had some mostly unknown but beautiful sexy females that I still love to stare...ogle whatever. Something happens inside my plumbing when I see them... my plumbing doesn't work anymore, but one of these 70' chicks just might get everything lined up again...HeHeee.
