I just watched this movie on the Grindhouse dvd collection.
IMOP there is no way that this movie(on the dvd)was made in the year 1970.
Everything about it reeks of 1977,especially the music.
Did they entirely re-shoot it or what?
What are the sources that it was made in 1970?
Is there another version out there somewhere?

I just looked on the BBFC website and the earliest date I can find is December 1977, so it looks like you are right.
