Just got word that Paul Winchell, the voice of Tigger for nearly 40 years, died Friday of Natural Causes at the age of 82. It will never be the same again without Paul. God bless you, Mr. Winchell.

shareThis is not a good weekend for Pooh fans. The day after Paul died, John Fiedler (the voice of Piglet) also passed away. Even though Paul retired as Tigger a few years ago, John has still been doing Piglet's voice all the way until Pooh's Heffalump Movie. I think his passing will affect the Pooh franchise even more than Paul's will.

Does anyone know why Paul Winchell stopped doing the voice of Tigger? I can't stand Cummings' version of Tigger and Paul was still active until his death. I never understood why they replaced him?
shareI heard that something was affecting Paul Winchell's voice and made him unable to do Tigger...even though I watched the special features on The Many Adventures DVD and he sounds an awful lot like Tigger naturally
