Why isn't there a single negative review of this movie?

Now let me get one thing straight. I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, so I can't really say whether this is a good movie or not. I have to watch it again before I can say that.

But I am surprised to see that every single review of this movie I find on IMDB are positive, and I wanna ask why?

I mean even Toy Story 3 and The Dark Knight have several negative reviews on this site. And they are both movies loved by a lot of movie fans.

I'm probably the only person who thinks this, but I think this movie is bad. I didn't like the movie at all when I rewatched it today. It's so boring.

Well, I disagree. I don't like this movie at all. I think all but one characters are boring, the songs are awful except two, and the story isn't interesting in any way.

Yeah, I am aware that I have a very unpopular opinion, but that's my opinion.

I love this movie, but an opinion's an opinion. What songs did you LIKE and what character did you like?

I really don't agree with your opinion and it's not boring, but I do respect it.

Honestly, this is probably one of the only child-geared pieces of film and animation that never comes across as corny or too simplistic. It still appeals to me to this day. It's honestly a very important work, in my opinion. It's very simple, humble, and innocent, but not dumbed down or unappealing to the adult mind. In fact, I think it's a great piece for all ages. Even when one looks into the characters and stories more deeply, instead of finding ridiculous plot holes or silly, over-simplified lessons, one finds that there is much to be learned here. Humility, compromise, friendship, integrity, innocence, (and it's insinuated loss, at the film's conclusion... you'll just have to see what I mean), and heroics are all here. It teaches us what the world and people COULD be like if we just focused on these things. As adults, we all know how horrible and complicated life and the world is, but this film takes away ALL of those things and leaves us with the best, most essential and endearing of human values. It's a masterpiece. You just have to open your heart and mind and see what I'm talking about.

It's a timeless classic, that's why. We all have memories from our childhood of watching it. It's not meant to be loved by adults. It's a kids film. It just came out on bluray and we bought it for our daughter. She's already loving it! The new 2011 one is pure crap tho.

Because it isn't just simplistic in nature or aimed for kids, but is touching in its depiction of never-ending friendship and love. Honestly, anyone who doesn't like this movie (and it is true) you have issues with life, because this movie helped to build childhood dreams. Out of the hundreds of people I've met over the years, all of whom grew up with this movie playing some role in their life, all agree it was one major influence of their childhood because it IS memorable and absolutely joyful.
