Charles Band's 1977 surgeon gone wild hit MANSION OF THE DOOMED is coming to DVD March 21. Directed by Michael Pataki (The Other CINDERELLA) and starring Lance Henriksen (ALIENS, THE TERMINATOR, & Full Moon's THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM), this follows an insane surgeon removing the eyes of abducted innocents in hopes of performing transplants on his daughter who lost her sight in a car-accident.

Actually it's been on DVD. Not a lot in the way of extras (if there were any to be had in the first place), but I've had it for a couple years now.

Watch out for snakes!!

If it's the 905 release, then it's worthless. The film is faded, scratched, and it looks like it was projected (out of focus) on a wall and recorded by a cheap, outdated camcorder. Wonder if original elements for this film survive somewhere; independent productions run a greater risk of extinction due to careless archival practices through the years.

This DVD is the only one I know of. Bad picture or not, I'd like to find it. Haven't seen the movie before.

I have that DVD as well, and I have to agree. I doubt there will be a widescreen version anytime soon.
