What's up with the Trivia section?

I just read the trivia section here on IMDb -- it's probably the worst Trivia section here, needs some serious editing -- there's too much repetition, info nuggets that contradict themselves, and each other, and lots of ridiculously obvious stuff ("The meaning and relevance of this movie's title is that it refers to the last name of famed World War II military figure General Douglas MacArthur, who is the subject of this movie." Really?)

I realze the film's only a 6.9 or so, and 33 years old, but c'mon, this is embarrassing.

THANK YOU!

I just read the Trivia section myself after today's broadcast on AMC and quite apart from the typo's and repetitions, the explanation of the title you mention was jaw-droppingly stupid.

Like we needed somebody to explain to us what the title of the movie was? Is there such an explanation on Patton's page?

Come on, people; make the Trivia useful and informative.

Indeed, one entry states that the film's budget went up by filming in the Philippines, and then another states that it was filmed entirely in the US. Which is correct?

Maybe it's a sign of the times. Everything is being dumbed down to match the needs of viewers with juvenile attitudes, where crap about celebrities is presented as 'news', and frighteningly by news organizations like Fox News, these stories have become the lead items. I have noticed over the last 5-8 years a general decline in the quality of 'information' presented here @ imdb. The trivia, the bios, the message boards etc would insult the intelligence of a half decent 5th grader! I gave up on the trivia and the goofs sections a long time ago.. mostly because they are just a train wreck nowadays.
