Norwegian theatre version

I was watching God Morgen Norge this morning (I do it like once a year...) and there was something on there about a children's theatre group who had made a rocked up version of the brothers' Grimm's fairytale about the big bad wolf and the sweet goat and her kids. Fair enough. The problem was that the songs they sung were taken straight from the movie Ma-Ma. Their costumes, makeup and names were also the same. The only difference was that the songs had been translated into Norwegian. The director and a couple of the actors were interviewed and said that they had been working on Grimm's fairytale, but had made a cool version of it and that they had done that with a good conscience. But they never mentioned that they hade stolen the whole thing from an old, foreign film... Nasty thieves!

i know the director of that stage production and he says they have never tried to make it seem like they have created this musical. he is like the biggest fan of the original film and has tried to make it as close to the film as possible

The editing was just bad

That makes utter sense. The movie is far too well known in Norway (being shown on telly almost every christmas and all) for them to get away with anything else.

Is there anywhere to get more information about this? Could be very interesting to watch it.

Don't breathe air. Birds *beep* in it!
