Weird ass foreign gay movie from the 70s. Kind of funny.

What is funny and stupid is your ignorant comment.

"El lugar sin límites" is one of the best movies made in the 70's not only in México but in the whole world.

Is not a "funny" movie (although it has some funny lines), neither a "gay movie" (even though one of the main characters is gay). Simpletons like you fails to see beyond the most obvious.

This movie is about many things: machismo, homophobia (seems you suffers from it), repressed homosexuality (does this ring any bell to you?), but also about unconditional love, respect and tolerance towards people with different sexual preferences. Greed and ignorance, etc.

since you called this movie "foreigner" I'll assume that you are one of those ignorant red-necks who minimize any movies who wasn't made by Hollywood.

Or perhaps you are one of those men afraid of their own repressed homosexuality therefore you find fun on making homophic remarks about this kind of movies.

"El lugar sin límites" beyond it's plots and subplots it's a masterpiece, marvelously acted, beautifully scripted, perfectly directed by one of the best filmmakers from this side of the world: Arturo Ripstein. And it's based on a wonderful story bu José Donoso, a great chilean writer.

Too bad that homophobic hillbillies like you can't appreciate true art when they sees it.

And just in case you wonder: No I am not gay. But I don't feel threatened by them nor I think their behaviour is particularly "funny". Certainly not in this movie.
