Did Anne wear white in the original Bway version?

I was surprised Anne wore pale green when she went to the "Armsfeld Family Manse" in the movie...I was sure she'd take Charlotte's advice and wear white. Does this usually get ignored in stage productions?

I've also always pictured Charlotte in black throughout...though maybe that's a bit obvious.
