Twice I tried to correct errors on this movie. In the cast there are listed 9 german actors who didn't act in this movie but in another (german) movie made the same year (1977) under the same english title (Late Show). Their movie is originally titled "Nachtvorstellungen" IMDB-No. tt0265370. I don't know why IMDB didn't believe me, when I tried to correct these errors.

I see what you mean. Perhaps they secretly wanted to be in this little gem of a movie, and imdb could sense this.

Another poster said that Lily Tomlin won a silver Berlin Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival for this movie, maybe in part because the judges thought that there were 9 German actors in the film, based on the imdb cast listing???
