I thought I was going crazy. I looked up Last Wave and it didn't come up. Then I looked at Peter Weir. Wasn't there. Then Richard Chamberlain. Nope. I thought aborigines appeared in my dreams and told me that I'd seen this movie.
Whew! It took Google listing the IMDb page for Black Rain, a title I've never heard.
If Shakespeare coined all those words, weren't they just nonsense back then?

Why has the name of the movie - "The Last Wave" - been changed to the listing "Black Rain?"
It's hard enough to remember the original name and recommend this wonderful movie to others.
I was lucky enough to see it in the theatre in 1977 and own the dvd. However, while browsing IMDb. I almost missed it because of the title change!!
"Black Rain" is also the title of a Michael Douglas cop movie.
PLEASE, change the listing BACK to the original "The Last Wave." This title describes the movie perfectly.
