DVD?

Think there might be a DVD release of this film?

reply

I certainly hope so!
I just picked up "Johnny Dangerously" on DVD ($7!) and I'm looking for more funny films of bygone days to decompress from all the heavy research work.
It would be a crime if "The Last Remake Of Beau Geste" is not released on DVD.

I totally agree. Especially when you look at the cast. Marty Feldman, Michael York, James Earl Jones, Henry Gibson, Anne Margaret, Trevor Howard, Spike Milligan and Peter Ustinov all at their very best in this great old comedy that is definetly one of my favourites.

reply

For real! Marty Feldman rocks and it's high time we our given more of his stuff so he can be "re discovered!" =)

reply

Yeah. I agree. They should put it on some movie channel. I have it on VHS. It's hillarious. Great movie, and Marty Feldman is awesome.

It seems every lame unwatchable piece of garbage movie is on DVD, but not this? This movie deserves to be on DVD more than a lot of stuff out there. What is taking so long? Come on, cough it up already. It would be nice if it had extras, but just the movie by itself would be better than what we have right now which is nothing.

reply

I agree, and I'd love extras too. You never know, I mean since more obscure movies from "off shoots" of Mel Brooks have recently been released on DVD, such as Gene Wilder's "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother", something for this movie could be in the works. Hopefully, at any rate.
