Nevertheless, watching Geste for the first time in almost thirty years, three thoughts come to mind:

--The script really was as good as I remembered it to be.

--Peter Ustinov has been very much overlooked as a comic actor.

--Holy hackamore, how did they get that horse to walk with that stunt leg? Being ridden no less.

I'm no great aficionado of equestrian stunt work, but I've never known a horse that would tolerate being so encumbered.
