Spiders, by nature are cannibals. They don't have the intelligence capability to all join together and kill everything in its path

The tarantulas started converging due to the heavy use of pesticides, which was eradicating their natural food supply. In order to survive, these arachnids -- who were normally cannibalistic of each other -- united to attack and eat larger animals.
Do they have the intelligence to do this? Obviously so in the world of the movie.
