Hi,
was just curious if anyone knew what the Etta James song/s is in the film. Would appreciate the information. Thanks in advance!

Etta James? None. There's a song by Elmore James, though: "I Believe." That is, "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom," but it's not credited as such.

Thanks for the reply. It's just that I read all these reviews stating that an Etta James song was used in the film but couldn't find more information on it, so decided to ask around. Thanks once again, really appreciate it.

Saw the movie last night on TCM - awesome. I think the song you are refering to is Dinah Washington's "This Bitter Earth."

Maybe you're thinking of the Faye Adams song "Shake a Hand," which is gutsy and raw like Etta. You can find her CDs on Amazon. One of the best things about "Killer of Sheep" is that gritty soundtrack--I love it.
