Any reason why this was moved to the saved section of my Netflix queue?

Today I noticed that all of a sudden I wasn't able to rent this movie even though I could have a few weeks ago. Does anyone have an explanation for this? I'm very disappointed since it was getting pretty close to the top:(

Why would anybody here be able to explain this? Have you considered asking Netflix?

it comes in waves...that happens to "fantastic planet" all the time.

About 8 people below explained the situation. So much your vile attitude.

Wow. I didn't know people had replied to this all of a sudden.

Thanks for all the actual responses. Spare rdoyle29. The reason I asked here is because I was wondering if the DVD had been pulled from shelves for a reason I wasn't aware of. I wasn't asking a technical Netflix question, I was asking if the DVD had been made unavailable to consumers. You can't rent The Lion King there because Disney has it in its vault. I thought someone may have had information. I can rent it again I just noticed and I think I will get it next.

Occasionally I also have a movie in my Netflix queue with "Very long wait", then it gets moved to "Saved". I think they have a glitch in their bookkeeping. It is moved to "Saved", when they realize that the movie is not even available yet.

So if you have a movie with "Very long wait" in your queueu for a few months, there is a good chance that it is not even yet out on DVD.

Funny, but it happened like 3 times with me so far.

I had the same thing happen to me with "Killer of Sheep," though Burnett's other film "My Brother's Wedding" came to me. This also happened to a Greek film called "Rembetiko" that I wanted to see on dvd. Both films were marked very long wait, and then they reverted back to the Saved section. But of the two Burnett films which were both rereleased theatrically last year (well in big cities and film festivals), "Killer of Sheep" is the one I wanted to see more. But, "My Brother's Wedding" is worth a look. The new version of the 1983 film is almost almost 40 minutes shorter than the original! Both versions come on the same dvd. I watched them both. I recommend watching the new version first, which is the opposite of what I did!

After viewing this movie today, email Netflix and thank them for moving it to your saved section. You missed nothing!!!

it's back on Netflix

Same thing happened to me with this movie. I think that happens when they have very few copies of something, and they get damaged or lost or something like that- until they get replacements. It's happened to me a few times with other movies as well.

Consider yourself lucky if you don't get to see it. Blech.

You can also get it at Blockbuster Online.
