Would the spy stuff have worked better had they not been famous people?


Bio pic stuff, about a famous writer and her lover, though interesting kind of drew me away from the clock-and-dagger aspects.

There's really nothing in the movie that says they were lovers but whatever floats your boat.

Movies are made with famous people. Look up "suspension of disbelief".

No, you missed my point. Not that the actors themselves were famous.
But the characters they played were more famous than the intrigue of the developing story line.
I sat there wondering if Julia was really like that?

Dash Hammett and Lillian Hellman were the two famous people ... we really never heard of Julia after all; They were famous and THEY were lovers.
