Contrived Plot

So Julia needed Lillian to bring the money to Germany. Yet all along the way, there are a constant stream of Julia's "agents," any one of which could have done the job just as easily. I don't know why they even needed the money. They probably could have just overwhelmed the Nazis by sheer numbers.
