Bought this Region1 version long ago.

Remember reading a notice in the SUNDAY TIMES when this film was being made. Because I enjoyed Fielding's novel Tom Jones (and the 1963 movie), I bought the only available Region 1 version which I could play on a Mac after making an adjustment. Was disappointed in the movie/dvd. This was years ago - all I remember are the technical difficulties of accessing it. Artistically, it was disappointing. Fielding made little money from it, so I have read, back in the 18th century.
