... or everyone's an idiot. The main reason people have for not liking this movie is the fact that it isn't constant jokes without a linear narrative structure, which is what Holy Grail was. I think maybe people had their expectations too high and didn't understand Gilliam's ideas, because I love this movie, cheap and filthy as it is.

The problem is Holy Grail was hilariously funny, while the jopes in this movie are not.
shareYeah the main problem is not that it´s got too few jokes, but that a lot of them just don´t work and are sort of second hand - even one of the funniest sequences, the hide and seek game, had already been used before in Monty Python... although on a much larger scale in terms of geography.

no; the film is hilarious in it's portrayal of how miserable and backwards life was in medival times. an absolute riot of hilarity.

It's okay, but Holy Grail was much funnier.
