Who's the boy in the movie? I haven't seen this movie since it aired on TV when I was a kid, but I remember a scene where the kid is covered with ants and staggers across the lawn for help [from scavenging in a Dumpster?]. Every time I see Cameron Bancroft in anything today, I think it's him, but his bio says not!
Anyone know?

shareYes, the kid fell into a dumpster then got out covered in ants. He ran into the pool while his mother was shouting to stop him, he can't swim. The main actor jumped into the pool and rescued the kid
I knew that kid was familiar and I had seen him in other things for I remembered his unique voice. But did not now his name. Moosie what a name, wonder where they came up with that.
Anyway when you watch stupid movies like this, even though enjoyable, you cant help but think my god that is stupid when you watch it.
When he was climbing into that dumpster looking for bottles, first off barefooted and no shirt on and I could totally see those ants. I am very observant in real life. I see a tiny ant bed on the ground with ants and yet that box and everything around him was covered in ants yet he is oblivious and just sticks his foot in that box. Then they crawl on him and he acts like he doenst feel it until they suddently start biting then he falls into the dumpster.
OK the other stupid thing is the movie tells us that a few bites is ok but 100s can kill you and cause you to be immobile. Ok the black man only had some bit his legs and feet and he tells the lead he cant move his feet and nearly passed out when he stood up. HE says his feet is numb.
Yet that kid is down in a dumpster and then leaps out of it and runs screaming to his mother. He had tons of ants on him, way more than that black man and he is a small child yet he is able to leap out of a dumpster after being in it a while and run to jump into a pool.
I never knew if he died or not. One time in a phone call someone got they said that one of the foreman and the boy was going to be ok but I never heard anything more. I swear that kid should have been dead.
Then later in the movie they tell them to not move and the aunts wont attack. WEll Suzanne Sommers was asleep in bed not moving and they attacked her. Ok I guess she woke up and felt them crawling on her and then they attacked but she was gone in seconds and she had nowhere as much as that kid had lol
I saw this on TV when I was a kid and I remember that. I guess boys are a lot more resilient than women because that kid was covered with ants and was bitten many more times than she was. He also suffered a lot more which I found a bit mean spirited. He runs around screaming before jumping in the pool while she wakes up and screams a bit before the scene cuts away.
Does the kid survive? I can't remember.
