Ive just watched this movie and although I enjoyed it very much I have a question.
At the very end when Thomas has been shot is he fantasing about being with his ex wife and boys or did it happen?
I think he was dreaming how he wanted it to be....am I right

It was just a vision. He was thinking of those he cared most about, and how empty the house would look after his death.

I think he was dreaming about returning to his family. Since his oldest son died, he wouldn't be there if Tom had really been able to go back to his surviving family.
