having not read the book, or seen the 1932 version.....

i saw this one , i was very young and it stuck with me , then the remake came out , i hated that. so i watched this one again, it blew me away, ... i guess i am easy , ...so , as far as getting ppl interested in the oldest version and the book, I think this one works best for that purpose.

I haven't read the novel nor seen any of the film adaptations - but I am just about to watch this version.

Even if I had read the novel or seen Island Of Lost Souls first, I still would regard THIS version as the Best.
