What a FUN movie!!!!

I have to say it...This movie is fantastic!!!

I watched it this morning with the English dub on (I decided Id try watching it that way first because it seemed to be one of the things people slammed about the movie, Ill watch it with English subtitles at a later date) and I have to say that, although the English dub wasnt matched up to the on screen actors very well, it was a very fun movie to watch...

Okay, so it isnt overly stimulating in the intelligence stakes, and the ape suit, while not horrible, isnt too well done, and some of the scenes featuring animal attacks make you laugh....Still its good fun. Its great Saturday afternoon fun (with the breast shots edited out), or late night fun (with breast shots left in).

This is NOT one of those 'so bad its good' movies, as I was lead to believe...Its one of those movies that are actually not as bad as everyone makes out, and that actually has a kind of silly charm to it.

The Mighty Peking Man (or Xing Xing wang) makes a great addition to any King Kong/giant gorilla collection.

I bought the DVD twice...Incase I wanted to watch it more than once.

King Kong 1976 = THE BEST.

Yeah...it does...and the actors who voiced the English dub version ham it up so much that you just have to laugh...Very entertaining.

The most exciting original motion picture event of all time! King Kong 1976...A CLASSIC

Sorry dude, but if you think this was actually a decent film and had charm, i'm speechless.

This is one of those 'so bad it's good' films. That's the only reason Tarentino had it released.

IF you think King Kong 1976 was the best of all the Kong films, all I can say is you're lucky bad taste is not a crime.

I think this film is an absolute campy riot. Sure, it's pretty cheap and cheesy in many respects, but that just adds considerably to its delectably daffy and dopey schlockoid charm. It's most certainly my all-time favorite low-budget "King Kong" cash-in copy.

Mighty Peking Man has 'guilty pleasure' written all over it. I thought it was more fun than the seventies King Kong remake produced by Dino De Laurentiis.
