The elevators

My wife and I recently went on a one-week vacation to San Francisco. We visited the Hyatt Embarcadero on Drumm to see the elevators in person.

We made a couple of quick videos and posted them on our facebook pages. What I noticed was the elevators are still EXACTLY the same while the lobby has been redesigned. The interior of the elevators have been upgraded as well. Unfortunately you can't go up to the 17th floor unless you are a guest and have a keycard. The elevator will only go as high as the 7th floor without a keycard.

I put the videos on youtube, here:

Yeah my camera work is shoddy which is why I am not a filmmaker. :)

My family went there in the seventies and I rode that elevator over and over because that's where they filmed the lobby scenes from 'The Towering Inferno' (my favorite movie at the time).

I thought the elevator scene was filmed at the Bonaventure in LA --especially since we saw it being filmed...
