this movie scared me when I was really young

I was born in '78 (this came out in '77). I remember when I was about 7 or 8 seeing a movie where a guy was driving and he turned on the radio and it was really loud. He couldn't get the radio to turn down or off and he couldn't get out of the car and wound up dying with bleeding ears. I never knew what it was. About five or six years ago I brought this up to a friend and he said it was a Mel Brooks movie called High Anxiety. I was like, "A Mel Brooks movie? Naw, this scene scared me." He pointed out I was 7 or 8. So I rented the movie and I be damned if that wasn't the same movie. A comedy. I now hang my head in shame.

Now, I specifically watching another movie that same night. There was a guy in a bear costume, not a bear but a guy, and I remember him tearing people up in a cabin. Anyone know what that is? I THINK it is "Girls' night out" but I'm not sure.

Actually that scene in the car is a bit creepy when you think about it--the blood coming out of the ears. I can see why a little kid would get scared by it.

Young Frankenstein was not without some creepy moments too----for a kid, that is. The way that painting of Victor's Grandfather "smiles" when Victor discovers the journal. Kind of creeped me out as a kid.

Both movies are comedy classics, though :>)
