The Sexual Revoution in its infancy....

Like a child with a new toy, Hollywood didn't quite know what to do with its new found sexual freedom in the 70's. It's no wonder the results of its exercise of this freedom are often times very childish. The humor in THHGTW is an excellent example. It is low, corny, and not much above the intellectual level of a junior high schooler. The jokes are often forced, lame, or just unfunny.

It's amazing that the actors involved in this agreed to do it. Today this film would be considered a bad "skin-a-max" cable script.

This film remains a curiosity in that it's fun to see all the B and D List stars who trotted themselves out for this. Also to see the stunning Joey Heatherton at the peak of her beauty.
