Jerry skipped the second verse

It may not have been written at the time. They tried out a lot of stuff in concert as it was being developed. Every hear a very early U.S. Blues? They used to call it "Wave That Flag" and it didn;t have all the lyrics either.

Actually 'Eyes' was already on the 'Wake of the Flood' album which was released in November of 1973. As we know, the concerts filmed in the GDM took place in October 1974.

Perhaps they were going to come back to the verse, I have the 'soundtrack' CDs and they go off into 'China Doll' and then stop. Maybe they were going to come back to Eyes? Who knows, really?

actually the verse was played but was edited for the movie , you can hear the full version on disc 3 of the So Many Roads box set of the dead
