Love the apartment!

Such nice big rooms! Ugly décor though, quite messy, too.

I watched this movie for the very first time this weekend and thought the same thing - trying to imagine it without that awful 70's decor!

The décor might have been ugly, but that was the 70's...I love it. I grew up in the 70's and that was the BEST time of my life. If I could go back in time, I would go back to the 70's.

I Love....ME!!!!

I just watched this again for the first time in many years and I just kept noticing how dirty the walls and doors were. However, I have extreme. OCD.

The wicker furniture, the hand me downs, the Indian/Middle Eastern fabrics, unframed posters taped up--YEP! all part of the 70s BoHo Chic. Manhattan apartments, by rule, aren't the largest around, especially in some of the older buildings. I felt the tight fit when I saw Lucy's bike hanging in the very small hallway. There was a fairly large kitchen, that Paula was able to have a table & chairs.
Here's what excited me: Paula had this 2BR, EIK, apartment with Tony that was only costing $200 a month!! Remember when Eliot comes in he states he paid 3 months rent and Paula says she will give him back his $600. Holy Cow!! An apartment like that, NOW, in that kind of building, in Manh. (remember location!) probably costs no less than $2400.
