What an odd casting choice for the Fascist husband. Vernon was a great Canadian actor by this time so why cast him in a minor role and have to dub him?

Just saw the film on TCM and I scratched my head as to what seems like an odd choice.

This film was partly financed by a Canadian company. Most likely they requested some Canadian representation in the cast.
