Susannah Fowle's performance as Laura Tweedle Rambotham was really quite good IMO and from memory critically well received. Yet I think I'm right in suggesting this was her one and only cinema release.
shareShe was very good, yes, although I find it hard to believe that a girl that young could have become such an accomplished pianist on her own. The stuff she was playing before she started having music lessons was way beyond grade eight standard. Sure, there are many child prodigies, but their talent is recognised at an early age and they start receiving formal training while they are very young.
You only get to be that good (as Rambotham) by hours of practice every day.
